Through her academic career Vicki has gained expertise in the fields of biology and environmental toxicology. This also resulted in her interest in various environmental issues related to humans and their impacts on the ecosystems that sustain them. "Although the myriad of environmental problems seems overwhelming, there are many tools and strategies available that we can implement to solve many of these problems that will lead us down the path to living in an environmentally sustainable manner. Undoubtedly, this endeavor will require a multidisciplinary, coordinated approach but most importantly, ambition."
