"Our entire planet is one delicate and complex set of relationships between species, people, habitats, governments and global market forces. We also know that meaningful conservation cannot take place without focusing on all of them". World Wildlife Fund

The world now occupies more than 6.6 billion people. According to the Sierra Club, the rate at which we consume and destroy our natural resources threatens the availability of clean water and air for generations to come. Only one fifth of our planet's population live in industrialized countries but somehow they consume more than two thirds of the planet's resources.

Isa Mundo is dedicated to supporting initiatives that provide the design, installation, training and future support for sustainable projects that can be operated and repaired by community members. To carry out these initiatives, the Isa Mundo Foundation aims to help communities discover healthy and environmentally sustainable living and, therefore, minimize our ecological footprint on this planet.

Isa Mundo's Environmental Health Projects will promote:

  • Alternative energy use
    • e.g. solar power and pumping systems, geothermal, wind, biomass, etc.

  • Quality water and sustainable water use
    • e.g. solar powered water systems, rainwater collection, water purification, and waste water treatment systems, etc.
  • Environmental protection
    • e.g. organic farming, coral reef rehabilitation, and initiatives that protect, conserve and/or restore components of ecosystems, including plants, wildlife and the natural resources vital to sustain all life.

The strategies and tools for sustainable living are growing and being implemented across the globe by all walks of life. The role of Isa Mundo will be to deliver these strategies and tools to each community, one project at a time. This will be accomplished by recruiting volunteers and partnering with other organizations to coordinate the dissemination of knowledge and resources. Isa Mundo will strive to enable communities the world over to have the choice and the means to live a healthy and environmentally sustainable life.
